About
WHEN DO WE PLAY?
We play in the fall, but our main season is in the spring. The fall season is relaxed in comparison to our spring season. We basically use the fall season to get used to playing with the team again. In the fall, we practice 3-4 days a week, and we participate in a few tournaments. During the spring season, we switch into high gear by practicing 4-5 times a week regularly, and we play games almost every weekend. Practices have run from 6-8, Monday-Thursday but are subject to change. Random conditioning gatherings will occur in the event of inclement weather.
WHO DO WE PLAY?
We are currently a member of the Mid-Atlantic Women's Lacrosse League (MAWLL) which includes University of Virginia, James Madison University, University of North Carolina, Towson University, University of Delaware, Pennsylvania State University, West Chester University, and University of Maryland. We have played in tournaments across the country in destinations such as Miami, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Denver, Scottsdale, Virginia Beach, and Austin. Traveling to these places gives the team nice bonding experiences, as well as providing the players with a chance to visit some places that they otherwise may not see. We host a home tournament on our fields every year, which is a great opportunity to play in front of our fans with a home field advantage!
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Each player is required to pay for every semester that she plays; dues can vary between $100-300 depending on that season's team expenditures.
WHO COACHES THE TEAM?
There is no official coach. The team is run by the 6 officers who are voted in the previous year.
WHAT ARE OFFICERS?

HOW DOES ONE MAKE THE TEAM?
We hold an interest meeting at the beginning of each semester (information posted before each semester begins). Please attend this meeting if you think you would like to play. We hold try outs each fall and spring where we select players according to their ball skill, knowledge of the game, hustle, desire, attitude, attendance, and intention of commitment. We expect those who make the team to attend EVERY practice and EVERY game. Exceptions are made for class or work, however, we ask that if these are going to majorly conflict during the season, you should try to come out a different season.
WHAT ELSE DOES THE TEAM DO?
We try to create strong team unity by participating in activities off the field. We do fundraisers every semester involving pizza and bake sales, auctions, t-shirt sales and much more. We have socials with other club teams and organizations throughout the campus; a great opportunity to meet new people. We have participated in charity events such as Relay for Life and the Marine Mud Run.
