VT Engage info session: Peru service immersion

What are you doing for summer break? On our first service immersion trip to Peru (May 23 - June 12, 2016), you’ll gain a greater understanding of Peruvian culture, social issues, and nonprofit work. Come join us, and broaden your horizons.

action. Our nonprofit partner in the Peruvian rainforest, ARCAmazon, aims to conserve and protect the Amazon. Possible projects include environmental education and rainforest preservation activities, and maintenance at ARCA’s education center. Llipin Yahuar, our partner working in Cusco’s Sacred Valley, empowers high Andean communities through health, education, and nutrition programs focused on women and children. Potential projects include building solar showers and native tree reforestation.

knowledge. Our immersion trips are purposeful service experiences designed to connect students and community. These student-led, hands-on trips prompt learning about social issues, encourage self-understanding, and inspire commitment to future action.
