Join us in celebrating the opening of a new exhibition featuring works by painter Susan Danko.

The natural landscape—its beauty and vulnerability—is the source of inspiration for Susan Danko’s evocative acrylic on canvas paintings.  Arising in the artist’s mind from real and imagined scenes of the natural environmental, Danko’s forest scenes are dreamy and idyllic even if tenuous, given a world at risk with invasive species, extreme weather, and pollution. For the artist these works convey a new reality, a world of nature caught in a state of flux between destruction and renewal.

Danko received a bachelor of fine arts in 1998 at the Cleveland Institute of Art in Cleveland, Ohio. Her work has been featured in exhibitions at SPACES Gallery (2017), the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland (2008), the Butler Institute of Art (2001), and galleries throughout the region. She lives and works in Parma, Ohio.
